Hats & a Session

Have you always wanted your baby's picture taken with those adorable little hats but never know where to find them?  Perhaps, the cost of hats on Etsy are just too expensive.  Well, folks, I'm a photographer but I know how to make "those" adorable little hats.  Crocheted or knitted.  If you'd like to book a session and want a custom made hat you've now killed two birds with one stone.  After the photo session, you have the option to purchase the hat, or I can keep it for future clients.

Here's a little "lady" I recently took.

Or how about an "owl" - (note: I didn't make this hat, but know how to)
disclaimer: I know how to make these hats -doesn't mean I currently have the pattern for the one you want.  If this is the case, I will do my best to find the desired pattern and get back to you.  If requesting a hat, please allow time for me to make it when scheduling your session.

True possibilities

I know the word "Photoshop" is in the public vocabulary now, but do you know its capabilities?  If you are waiting for your infant's "baby acne" to clear up for the perfect picture, don't.  What about your teen with the bad case of hormonal pimples?  I'm here to tell you not to worry and not to put off getting those pictures of the moments you love just because of skin problems.  Here is the perfect example of one of the many amazing things that Photoshop can fix.  This adorable little girl had a baby acne problem, but with Photoshop and my ability to use it, you'll get the perfect picture you've been dreaming of.

Autumn colors

Autumn, my favorite time for images of nature.  The colors that God provides for us to enjoy only last a short while before the cold winds begin to blow and we enter the winter months.  Won't you let me help you enjoy this time for your family and capture these fleeting moments?

Sisters enjoying each others' company.

This little guy loved playing on the bails of hay.

Lastly, to leave you with a taste of what is yet to come for this season.

As promised

Well folks, I'm happy to announce the delivery of my lens occurred yesterday as we were getting ready to pull out of the driveway! After returning home, I pretty much made a B-line to the packages and stayed up late to play with my new "toys". As promised, here are some of the pictures that I shot today.

Michael wanted me to show his LumiNOX watch

Thought this was cool - a fly stayed long enough for me to take!

The bumblebee proved to be a little harder to catch still.

Here's a shot of my watch. I was playing with the f-stops (to blur out numbers and focus primarily on "Bulova".
SO, next project...coins for MaryBeth!

A new look

Thank you once again, Christy, for showing me the way thru blogging. Thank you to Aqua Poppy designs for the cool background that my blog now displays. A thank you to my photographer friend, Melissa, for the tips on posting pictures MUCH smaller so I can share more. :)

I am anxiously awaiting my new 105mm Macro Nikon lens (to be delivered tomorrow). This lens will allow me to capture closeup images for my Aunt MaryBeth who has hired me for photographing coins for her website - teapartysilver.com

Snapshots with my new lens coming soon!
